Grace Brown

Grace Brown

Board Member, Co-Founder

Grace is an Investment Manager on the private markets team at Vanderbilt University's Office of Investments where she focuses on venture capital and private equity. She divides her time between sourcing new investment opportunities with an emphasis on emerging VC managers across the US and Europe, supporting the existing roster of GPs, and helping refine internal portfolio allocation strategies. Grace is also Co-Founder of the Emerging Allocators Association (EAA), a nonprofit dedicated to the emerging (pre-director) LP ecosystem.

Prior to joining the VU Office of Investments team, Grace was the first fellow at f7 Ventures, an operator led, early-stage venture fund that invests in the future of work and consumer utility. Previously, she was an early employee at K2 Dental Arts, a healthtech startup focused on digitizing dental practices, where she helped scale the sales, marketing, and business development teams and strategies. Her entrepreneurial pursuits took her to Uganda where she conducted an independent research study focused on the One Health model in partnership with the Uganda National Council for Science and Technology, the Uganda Wildlife Authority, and Conservation for Public Health.

Grace holds a dual honors degree in Commerce History and American Studies from the University of Virginia where she was a D1 athlete on the Women's Rowing team. Outside of work, Grace enjoys skiing (her weekends in the winter are dedicated to discovering new Epic pass mountains), dirtbiking, wakeboarding, hiking, traveling, and researching restored classic cars (defender 90/110 and FJ 40/60)!

Luke Blanton

Luke Blanton

Luke is an Investment Analyst at Vanderbilt University's Office of Investments, where he focuses on early-stage venture capital and lower middle-market buyout. Prior to joining the private markets team, he contributed to the public markets team, helping manage the endowment's hedge fund, long-only equity, credit, and commodities exposure. Luke has played a pivotal role in shaping the office's investment approach in biotech, defense, and deep tech, while fostering cross-university collaborations across multiple departments.

Luke is also the Co-Founder of the Emerging Allocators Association (EAA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering collaboration and support within the junior-level limited partner (LP) ecosystem.

Luke holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Vanderbilt University, where he was a Division 1 football player. A Dallas, TX native, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and weightlifting.

Owen Lu

Owen Lu

Board Member

Owen is a venture capital investor at Third Prime, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on seed investments. His work spans sourcing new investment opportunities, collaborating with portfolio companies, and contributing to the firm’s overall investment strategy.

Previously, Owen was an Analyst at the Vanderbilt Office of Investments, where he specialized in private markets, including venture capital and later-stage co-investments. In this role, he gained experience evaluating fund managers, contributing to strategic portfolio construction, and underwriting later-stage co-investment opportunities.

Owen graduated from Vanderbilt University, where he studied Economics and Philosophy.

Maddie Wuelfing Rich joined the Berkeley Endowment Management Company in 2024 as an Investment Associate. Prior to BEMCO, Maddie was amanager of corporate development and strategic finance at ZoomInfo Technologies based in San Francisco. Maddie began her career at Macquarie Capital in New York, where she worked in the investment banking division covering technology, media and telecommunications. Maddie graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Yale University.

Dani Mey

Dani Mey

LA Community Lead

Dani is an Investment Associate at The J. Paul Getty Trust, where she focuses on venture capital and buyout investments. She also helps lead the Getty’s Summer Investments Internship program.

Prior to joining Getty, she worked at Bloomberg in the Shanghai office, where she spearheaded the Greater China PE, VC, & HF product offering expansion initiatives. Dani will be co-heading the EAA LA branch with Christina Xing from Caltech.

Dani holds a dual degree in Economics and Linguistics from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master of Finance from the University of California, San Diego. She is also a CFA Charterholder. Outside of work, Dani enjoys traveling, snowboarding, and perfume collecting.

David Chiodo

David Chiodo

NY Community Lead

David Chiodo is a Senior Investment Associate at Performance Equity Management (PEM), where he focuses on primary and secondary investments, as well as co-investments across venture capital, growth equity, and mid-market buyout strategies. He has a particular concentration on PEM's venture emerging manager program and secondary market activities. Demonstrating his commitment to the venture ecosystem, David is also a personal limited partner in several emerging early-stage venture funds.

Prior to joining PEM, David was a Senior Associate at EY-Parthenon within its Private Equity Value Creation practice. There, he focused on operational due diligence, transaction execution, and portfolio company strategy across the technology, transportation, and industrial sectors.

David earned a Bachelor of Science in Policy Analysis and Management from Cornell University. Outside of his professional endeavors, David is passionate about the arts and the outdoors. He is a devoted supporter of the Metropolitan Opera, an avid Citi Bike rider, skier, and a lifelong fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

David Tammaro

Based out of San Francisco, David is an investor at Pinegrove Venture Partners, a Sequoia Heritage and Brookfield Asset Management sponsored venture investment platform spanning fund of funds, venture debt, venture secondaries, and co-investments. At Pinegrove, David focuses on both emerging & established manager fund investments as well as direct co-investments.

Prior to Pinegrove, David was a member of the Primary Investment Team at Adams Street Partners where he focused on venture and technology buyout fund investments and direct co-investments. David started his career at Greenspring Associates (which was acquired by StepStone Group) where he invested across the venture ecosystem into funds, early- and growth-stage companies, and secondary opportunities.

David graduated from Johns Hopkins University with bachelor’s degrees in Applied Mathematics and Economics. At JHU, David was also a member of the varsity football team where he achieved both All-American & academic All-American honors during his career. Originally a Chantilly, VA native, David enjoys all things sports, skiing,table games, and micromobility.        

Christina Xing

Christina Xing

LA Community Lead

Christina Xing is an Investment Analyst at the California Institute of Technology Investment Office, where she works as a generalist across asset classes with a focus on private equity and venture capital. She supports sourcing, diligence, and portfolio monitoring as part of a lean team managing Caltech’s endowment.

Prior to Caltech, Christina interned with the public team at Duke University’s endowment, DUMAC, where she gained exposure to hedge funds, equities, and credit strategies.

She holds a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Psychology from Brandeis University and a Master’s in Financial Technology from Duke University. Outside of work, Christina enjoys weightlifting, playing basketball, and training for her HYROX competition. She lives by the motto “try something new every week” — whether that’s discovering a new coffee shop or testing one new AI application weekly.

Chris Goranov is an Investment Analyst with Cornell’s Office of University Investments, where he covers real assets, private equity, and hedge fund investments. Prior to joining Cornell’s endowment in 2024, Chris had internship experiences in investment banking at Bank of America and trading at Nomura Securities. Chris graduated with Distinction from Cornell University with degrees in economics and statistics. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, attending concerts, and exploring NYC with friends.
